CFW PSP 3.80 M33File Description
We've had a lot of updates about this one, and now it's finally out: the highly-anticipated 3.80 M33 Custom Firmware for our Sony PlayStation Portables, from none other than the treasure vaults of Dark_AleX himself. After delays, bugfixes and the occasional appetite-whetting, we can now finally unlock the fullest potential of our own PSPs. Awesome!
If you've been keeping up with the news, then you'd know about the brand-spanking new features in this new firmware. But for the sake of completion (as well as the off-chance we might find some new info), here's the changelog:
* HEN core: user mode can load now signchecked files from flash.
* recovery: flash1 format will create flash1 directories after format.
* This could fix some flash1 issues with the previous versions.
* Network update from dark-alex.org page. By default is enabled. You can turn it off in recovery (when off, network update will download sony updates as usual).
* Nids resolver for various kernel libraries.
Now, don't get too excited. While this IS the latest firmware, it carries with it the same risks and dangers of updating. Please be sure to read up and get yourself up to speed with the updating process before doing anything. This includes perusing the included readme file included in the archive. With that, enjoy!

3.80 M33-2
Requeriments:
3.80 M33
Instructions: Copy UPDATE folder to /PSP/GAME folder
This update fixes a couple of issues.
- Function scePowerGetClockFrequency/scePowerGetClockFrequencyInt was not resolved properly due to a
confussion between the two nids applying to the same function. Fixed, this update is necessary
for plugins and kernel homebrew reporting psp cpu speed.
- PSX EBOOT.PBP that have a icon of 80x80 pixels will not be replaced by Dracula icon in savedata.
Explanation of icon issue:
In 3.80 pops, Sony has introduced a bug that causes a crash when the icon of the pbp is not 80x80,
like those of psstore. To resolve the issue, M33 was replacing the icon in ram by the one with Dracula image,
what caused the side effect of ps1 save games having Dracula icon.
Now the behaviour in 3.80 M33-2 is to replace the icon in ram only if the one in the file is not 80x80.

File Description
We're letting the word out that Dark AleX has just released Custom PSP Firmware M33-3. This new build carries with it some error fixes and improvements to enable it to work with an equally new Popsloader version also in circulation. Quoting the readme:
* Fixed synchronization issue that plugins check code caused in PSN NP9660 original games (fixes 0x80010013 error)
* Added a couple of libs to the nids resolver.
* Added some internal changes required by incoming 3.80 popsloader plugin.
The new popsloader doesn't appear to be too different from the previous version - it was simply re-worked to carry support for M33-3. Keep in mind that it's built specifically for the third update - it won't run on previous 3.80 M33 versions. As always, we strongly advise users to view the file readme before they attempt to install either M33-3 or its accompanying popsloader.

For PSP phat only...CFW 3.80 1.50 kernel add-onFile Description
Homebrew developer Dark-AleX has released a CFW 3.80 M33 add-on which allows users to launch homebrew which have not been updated and require the kernel 1.50 to work.
Unfortunately, PSP owners will be unable to install this update on their PSPs via WiFi using the Network Update feature in CFW 3.80 M33 because it is an optional add-on.
If you plan on installing this add-on, be advised that it is only for the PSP Phat. There weren't any instructions included in the compressed file but MrTuto_Alek, one of the ExoPhase members, was nice enough to provide the method for installing the program:
Instructions:
* Copy the files in the release to a directory called UPDATE
* Move the UPDATE directory to /PSP/GAME150/UPDATE
* Get sony 1.50 update and copy it to the root with name "150.PBP"
* Run the program and done.
